What you should remember though is that no new clothes have been made in over 60 years, so the supply is very small. You take what you find and even if it might not fit perfectly.Most of the time, practical and durable clothes are favored, as are clothes meant for construction, military, etc. The clothes should also be warm, partly for the same of survival and partly because you probably don't want to freeze during the LARP. Regarding appearance, players could very well base their attire on the sort of work they do in and around the camp. Also remember that pretty much everything you own is patched and fixed many times over, which would be a nice effect. Some of the appearance may also be based on camp culture, which is something that will be discussed during the workshop. Remember though, that it is more important that the clothes are comfortable to LARP in than that they are postapoc-realistic. No one wants to walk around without good shoes in the october weather... EquipmentEvery participant needs to bring along sleeping gear (sleeping bag/blankets and pillow), a flashlight (for security) and something small to eat in case they get hungry between meals being served. It's also good to bring along a little bit of water for your own use.The locationThe larp location Kajane in Pörtom/Pirttikylä is a wilderness center with small cabins connected to a trail. The center is made up of a main cabin (heated with wood) with two small rooms and an upper floor where participants can sleep on mattresses. Besides this cabin there is a small cabin with four sleeping places. There is also a sauna building with two sleeping places. Additionally, there are two grilling spots, one open and one under a roof. We will also be using part of the forest around the center.PropsRegarding props players are free to be as creative as they want. Some things to keep in mind though:No prop guns should be brought. The reason for this is that firearms are in short supply, and the organizers will care for the few weapons that will be in the LARP. Latex knives are an exception. Think about how you want to protect yourself against Eastgas. To avoid discomfort players won't need to use a gasmask as a protective cloth like a scarf will be enough. Though a gas mask is the “best” protection and is recommended (though a gas mask will not give any bonuses during the LARP) | |||||||||||||
