In the year 390, a group of about four dozen Javenians left their home nation behind, led by a massively powerful life sorceror. These separatists came to call themselves The Red Circle (though the locals jokingly referred to them as Ravenians, after their leader) and established a new home around what used to be the Blind Wolf's tavern at the edge of the Sorcerors' Forest in southwestern Lenori.
