“Greetings, Boyar Ilarov
I hope this letter finds you intact and still sealed. I wanted you to be the first to know, though we won’t be able to keep this secret for long.
It is my great pleasure to inform you that your map was correct. It took not a little bit of searching in the wilderness of Llanas, but what we found was worth every second of that work. We uncovered what seem to be ruins, not unlike those uncovered in northern Kern but far more intact. Their architecture is strange, and they are almost entombed in an unnatural cold, keeping a large part of them frozen in ice.
And indeed, our greatest find there leads me to believe that “entombed” is a quite accurate way of describing it. We found nothing less than the remnants of what must be the former inhabitants of this ruin - perhaps this very land. I can scarcely describe these withered husks that remind me more of the bugs that writhe under stones than anything human. I cannot wait for you to see them with your own eyes.
You will receive a full account of the exploration and our findings as soon as possible. I simply couldn’t contain my excitement.
